.................... *NEVER* *THOUGHT*................

She thought 💁🏼she was not strong 💪🏽
Till she reached her point of maximum⬆ weakness🙎🏼
She was anything but expecting to stand tall
Actually, she was waiting to fall🍃
But just when she was about to faint
A strong force 💥held her together
And she kept surprising🙀 herself with her new found strength✊🏻

He never thought his voice would ever be heard👂🏻
Till he let out his first 🗣shout
He was expecting only an escape of air🌪 from his throat
Rather, it was thunder🌊
His voice didn’t just make knees weak:
It carried great command👮🏻

He never thought💭 he would come this far🚶🏽
He was expecting to be stuck😖
And perhaps one day eventually end it all🙅🏼
But he is still okay
No worries😫, no anxiety😰 , no depression🤢

We never thought 💭 ..
Who🤷🏼‍♂ are we to think anyway??
When we thought we were weak😣: He was where our strength💪🏽 lay
When we thought💭 we’d fall🍃: we never thought He'd catch us🤗
When we thought we were going to die☠: we never thought He'd give us His Life💫
Not❌ because we thought ; but because He thought of us🤗

*TURN* *YOUR* *LIGHTS* *ON* 💡

Imagine 💭walking🚶🏽 into your room
And you flick the switch to close the circuit 🔄so enough power ⚡can be transmitted to the single fluorescent tube at the center of your ceiling🛋 to produce energy 🔋in the form of light✨
Now, as you turn on the lights💡, it comes on (duh? 💁🏼 Like that's what it's supposed to do???🤷🏻‍♀)
But for a few seconds then goes off🌚
Then for the rest of the time, it just goes on 🌕and off🌑
If you have an alternative light source🕯,
You'd just turn off the lights and use it✔
But 🤔if that's your only light source : WELCOME TO ENDURANCE 💪🏻
definitely, no one 🙅🏼will have to tell you there's something wrong 🙍🏽‍♂with the lights
And that's the same message 📝we show to the world 🌍anytime we do a little rollercoaster 🎢ride on our relationship👫 with God
We're might be the only Christian😇 someone would ever know🤗
But if we keep switching on😇 and off👿
We send a blur image 🤦🏻‍♀of our Father✨🤴🏼💫
Give a poor 😖advertisement of our Kingdom🏞
On and off will confuse them
We need to choose 👈🏻one and stick with it
We've got to be white ⚪or black⚫
No 🙅🏼grey-zone here

👉🏻 YOU CHOOSE 👈🏻

i'm running🏃🏻‍♀ on a treadmill
working hard🏋🏾‍♀ at nothing 🙅🏼
perhaps 🤔
maybe🤷🏻‍♀ , just maybe 🤷🏻‍♀
i'm not even running🚶🏻‍♀
maybe i'm just sitting on it rather
drinking a bottle 🍼of cold water
bragging💁🏼 about about much i work out 🏋🏾‍♀
when it was barely a minute ⏰
...
so i'm here at this gym⛓
ready to do whatever it takes to be fit💪🏻
or so i deceived🤢 myself
'cause both i and myself know😓
that aint ready to make
the life changing decision ❗
i'd rather blame the gym equipment ⚙
blame the instructor 🙎🏼‍♂
blame everything else🤦🏻‍♀
but myself
yet i want to be fit💪🏻 like them
while doing nothing 🙅🏼
but
things dont just happen that way🙁
we have to work for things 🤸🏻‍♀
we have to work for it
work hard
....
yep, cause this😇 christian journey🛣
aint by chance
but by choice👌🏼

It makes no sense 🤔😕
There I was, bitterly breathing behind 🙇🏽bars... my palms were sweaty and i could feel my heart thumping in my chest😰.
Theft, murder🤺... the list goes on and on
My soul was as filthy as the dirty ruggs i wore🙍🏾‍♂.

And I knew that the next time I stepped out of that cell wall...🤦🏾‍♀...well, that was the end of it all😟.I could see my demise as the guards👮🏾‍♀👮🏾💂🏾 came to get me out of the prison doors🚪.

I was placed in front of a large crowd👩‍👩‍👧👨‍👩‍👧👩‍👩‍👦👩‍👩‍👧‍👦👨‍👨‍👧‍👦.. their eyes filled with anger😡... the atmosphere was saturated with a desire for vengeance💪🏾... i concluded with no doubt that these people wanted me dead😰.

The guy standing next to me looked as trampled and beaten as the sand. Suddenly my ruggs looked fancy 🕺🏾compared to the stripes that covered him as a whole.
The governor👨🏾‍✈ then addressed the crowd. I found it ridiculous 🤦🏾‍♂you know... I'm pretty sure i was the biggest sinner🤷🏾‍♂ in town, so asking the crowd to choose whom to spare seemed like a total waste of time💁🏾‍♂.
I mean, it was obvious. I was more than ready to get it over and done with.
But then the crowd, they started chanting "Barabbas" ...they were saying my name 😱, over and over again,.
The guards threw me to the crowd 👥👥👥and they took Jesus instead.
I just didn't get it, 😟
I mean, one minute I'm a man marked for death ☠
And the next...I'm free!! 🙀🙀I'm free!!
It's crazy it made no sense 😕
So I followed him to Golgotha- the place of the skull💀.
The place where he died instead of me😔
I followed👣 him there because as he carried his cross i kept on thinking, : "that should've been me"
We are all Barrabas.
Well maybe🤷🏾‍♂ I was there to prove how rotten we had gotten
Blatantly picking evil👺 over good 🤗
More death☠ over more life 🙂
Suffering😓 over joy 😁
Strife👹 over peace 🕊
Why did you choose me 🤷🏾‍♂over Jesus?
I mean, I got barred for planning an insurrection🌋
And you choose to kill Him who was planning your Resurrection🌅?

Sub zero....

No! I don't understand!

I can’t simply understand

I have been so cold

Towards you that your warm embrace felt uncomfortable so I

Wriggled free

From frying pan to fire

Would be the description

Of my unreasonable desire

Let go and to be set free

So i

Acted on the slightest chance of gravity

And fall freely with the hope

Of no resurrection after hitting the sub zero

But you had to back?

To stay

And save the day

Be my hero

But yet so soon, the old feelings remained

I thought your presence was dry

So I applied a little lubricating oil

Reduce the friction and all

Friction - that tried to smoother my rough edges

And there, I slipped and fell

In love with the sin that so easily entangles me

And I knew from that moment

That the irony of life hit me: to strip off but not in a nightclub

But back into your presence

However, I guess I was too shy to follow Hebrews 12:1

So like a heavy duty truck I

Was overloaded with burdens

Upon burdens

Upon burdens which slowed me down?

Slowed me down as I fell more and more

At the least enticement

Yet, it was I

That you had your eyes on

That you wanted

Nope! The mud did nothing to mar the beauty you saw in me

You must be crazy

In love with me - No

I can't think far nor madness nor so far

On this kind of love!

Whoaa!

Wahrisdis???

No No No

Why would you still come after me?

After everyman has partaken in my body, I

Was supposed to lead them to

You, to join in your body and blood

Not mine

Yet, you still come after me again

And again

Don't you ever get tired?

Because believe me to be yours sincerely,: I even do!

Become sick and tired of all this roller coaster ride

Yet you still come after me

You still love me all the same

Not an aorta less

Yet you still want me

Yet still

You still choose me

So even in my sub zero

You'll always be my hero

A Minister passing through his church in the middle of the day decided to pause by the altar to see who came to pray.

Just then the back door opened, and a man came down the aisle,
The minister frowned as he saw the man hadn't shaved in a while.

His shirt was torn and shabby, and his coat was worn and frayed,
The man knelt down and bowed his head, then rose and walked away.
In the days that followed at precisely noon, the preacher saw this chap,
Each time he knelt just for a moment, a lunch pail in his lap.

Well, the minister's suspicions grew, with robbery a main fear,
He decided to stop and ask the man, 'What are you doing here?'

The old man said he was a factory worker and lunch was half an hour
Lunchtime was his prayer time, for finding strength and power.

I stay only a moment because the factory's far away;
As I kneel here talking to the Lord, this is kind of what I say:

'I Just Came By To Tell You, Lord, How Happy I Have Been,
Since We Found Each Other’s Friendship And You Took Away My Sin.
Don't Know Much Of How To Pray, But I Think About You Every day.
So, Jesus, This Is Ben, Just Checking In Today.'

The minister feeling foolish, Told Ben that it was fine.
He told the man that he was welcome to pray there anytime.

'It's time to go, and thanks,' Ben said as he hurried to the door.

Then the minister knelt there at the altar, which he'd never done before.

His heart melted, warmed with love, as he met with Jesus there.
As the tears flowed down his cheeks, He repeated old Ben's prayer:

'I Just Came By To Tell You, Lord, How Happy I've Been,
Since We Found Each Other’s Friendship and You Took Away My Sin.
I Don't Know Much Of How To Pray, But I Think About You Every day.
So, Jesus, This Is Me, Just Checking In Today.'

Past noon one day, the minister noticed that old Ben hadn't come.
As more days passed and still no Ben, He began to worry some.

At the factory, he asked about him, learning he was ill.
The hospital staff was worried, But he'd given them a thrill.

The week that Ben was with them, Brought changes in the ward.
His smiles and joy contagious. Changed people were his reward.

The head nurse couldn't understand why Ben could be so glad,
When no flowers, calls or cards came, not a visitor he had.

The minister stayed by his bed, He voiced the nurse's concern:
No friends had come to show they cared. He had nowhere to turn.

Looking surprised, old Ben spoke up and with a winsome smile;
'The nurse is wrong, she couldn't know, He's been here all the while.'

Every day at noon He comes here, a dear friend of mine, you see,
He sits right down and takes my hand, Leans over and says to me:

'I Just Came By To Tell You, Ben, How Happy I Have Been,
Since We Found This Friendship, And I Took Away Your Sin.
I Think About You Always And I Love To Hear You Pray,
And So Ben, This Is Jesus, Just Checking In Today.'
