It makes no sense 🤔😕
There I was, bitterly breathing behind 🙇🏽bars... my palms were sweaty and i could feel my heart thumping in my chest😰.
Theft, murder🤺... the list goes on and on
My soul was as filthy as the dirty ruggs i wore🙍🏾♂.
And I knew that the next time I stepped out of that cell wall...🤦🏾♀...well, that was the end of it all😟.I could see my demise as the guards👮🏾♀👮🏾💂🏾 came to get me out of the prison doors🚪.
I was placed in front of a large crowd👩👩👧👨👩👧👩👩👦👩👩👧👦👨👨👧👦.. their eyes filled with anger😡... the atmosphere was saturated with a desire for vengeance💪🏾... i concluded with no doubt that these people wanted me dead😰.
The guy standing next to me looked as trampled and beaten as the sand. Suddenly my ruggs looked fancy 🕺🏾compared to the stripes that covered him as a whole.
The governor👨🏾✈ then addressed the crowd. I found it ridiculous 🤦🏾♂you know... I'm pretty sure i was the biggest sinner🤷🏾♂ in town, so asking the crowd to choose whom to spare seemed like a total waste of time💁🏾♂.
I mean, it was obvious. I was more than ready to get it over and done with.
But then the crowd, they started chanting "Barabbas" ...they were saying my name 😱, over and over again,.
The guards threw me to the crowd 👥👥👥and they took Jesus instead.
I just didn't get it, 😟
I mean, one minute I'm a man marked for death ☠
And the next...I'm free!! 🙀🙀I'm free!!
It's crazy it made no sense 😕
So I followed him to Golgotha- the place of the skull💀.
The place where he died instead of me😔
I followed👣 him there because as he carried his cross i kept on thinking, : "that should've been me"
We are all Barrabas.
Well maybe🤷🏾♂ I was there to prove how rotten we had gotten
Blatantly picking evil👺 over good 🤗
More death☠ over more life 🙂
Suffering😓 over joy 😁
Strife👹 over peace 🕊
Why did you choose me 🤷🏾♂over Jesus?
I mean, I got barred for planning an insurrection🌋
And you choose to kill Him who was planning your Resurrection🌅?
